What’s going on in the garden, you ask?

It started out great! Planted lots of peppers, basil, peppermint, tomatoes, brussel sprouts, onions, and sunflowers from seed so far this year. Also working on transplanting some begonia flowers from the front of the house and propagating this year… specifically dividing up several mint and basil plants to give out to people. What better gift to receive than a plant?

After over two weeks of neglect during our travels though… this is what we came home to last week.

That’s right. A wild jungle!

I love how we can’t get grass to grow in the YARD, but it grows amazing in my garden bed.

Zoey helped me spruce the place up one afternoon and it looks much better now!

The only problem I’m finding is that aphids have eaten my brussel sprout leaves to pieces…

More info to follow… but I’ve decided to try something new.

I’m bringing in some soldiers!!! That is- ladybugs. Did you know you can order these little guys ALIVE on Amazon?

Dill, Fennel, Eucalyptus, and Mint plants are also supposed to help rid your garden of aphids and keep ladybugs happy according to Plantnatural.com. I’m going to try to plant some of those around as well and look forward to telling you how this goes 🙂

If you read this, thanks for stopping by! 🙂 Hope your day is fulfilling!
